PCS Navigator ("the App") helps military service members plan and manage their Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information You Provide

• Profile Information: Military rank, duty stations (losing and gaining installations), move date, number of dependents, estimated household goods weight, and move method preference
• Optional Account Information: If you sign in, we may receive your email address and basic profile fields from your chosen sign-in provider
• Chat Messages: Questions and messages you send to the AI assistant
• Documents: Photos or scans of documents you choose to upload for organization purposes

Information Collected Automatically

• Distance Calculations: We use Google Maps API to calculate driving distances between your duty stations
• Device Information: Basic device identifiers for app functionality
• Product Analytics: We use product analytics to understand feature usage, screen flows, and app reliability

How We Use Your Information

• Entitlement Calculations: Your profile data is used locally on your device to calculate PCS entitlements (DLA, TLE, MALT, PPM incentives, BAH)
• AI Assistance: Chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API to provide helpful responses about your PCS move
• Distance Calculations: Installation locations are sent to Google Maps API to calculate accurate driving distances
• Cross-Device Sync (Optional): If you sign in, your profile may be synced to Supabase so you can restore it on another device
• Product Improvement: Analytics events help us improve app performance, reliability, and user experience

Data Storage

• Local Storage: Your profile information, tasks, and documents are stored locally on your device using secure storage
• Optional Account: You can use PCS Navigator without creating an account, but sign-in is available if you want sync capabilities
• Server Storage When Signed In: If you sign in, profile fields may be stored in Supabase to support backup and restore across devices
